The proposal consisted of 57 Turbines and associated infrastructure situated in the Pairc area of south east Lewis.
Pairc Windfarm environmental statement
A series of consultations, survey and assessment work was undertaken in which ASH worked closely with SSE in co-ordinating constraints, layout and mitigation proposals as part of the Environmental Statement. This resulted in minimal adverse environmental effects, whilst maintaining engineering viability.
ASH carried out a number of assessments including:
- Planning
- Socio Economic
- Recreation and Tourism
- Landscape and Visual Assessments
The Environmental Statement was published in 2007. Since then ASH has overseen a number of public exhibitions.
