Coburg Dock Landscape Planning & Design
ASH was commissioned by Amey Hynd to work with the project architect, Backhouse Design Ltd, to identify a site plan responsive to:
- The riverside location
- The prevailing exposed climate
- The significance of the proposal as a lead development for the area
The Coburg Dock design focuses on the establishment of a predominantly communal urban landscape with minimal private space or maintenance.
The result has been the creation of a site plan that maximises shelter in the key circulation and access spaces, and that utilises robust materials and hard detail reflecting the scale and strength of the site's dockland origins.
